There is always someone who has more.

More money. A bigger house. A bigger car. Nicer furniture. A bigger yard. A bigger startup exit. More bitcoin.

And when you compare yourself to others you perceive to have more, you'll never be content. No matter what, there will always be something someone has that you don't have.

Here is a little secret.

Billions of people have a lot less than you do. Billions of people hardly have anything at all. Yet, often, those people are incredibly content.

Whenever you're feeling bummed comparing yourself to others who have more, there's a straightforward strategy to make yourself feel better.

Compare yourself to others who have less.
Feel grateful for what you have.

And for bonus happiness, help those who have less than you do.
