Philosophy
People who have a philosophy on life live a richer life. I don't know if that's true, but I believe it.
Why?
Because a life philosophy doesn't emerge from isolation – it develops through a combination of learning and experiences. Each new insight and adventure shapes how we see ourselves and our place in the world.
Life is richer when you read. (learn)
Life is richer when you're trying to get better. (learn)
Life is richer when you have great conversations with smart people. (learn)
Life is richer when you listen to good podcasts. (learn)
Life is richer when you travel. (experience)
Life is richer when you do things outside your comfort zone. (experience)
Life is richer when you push your body. (experience)
Life is richer when you try new things. (experience)
Each time I learn something new, it challenges or reinforces my beliefs about the world. Each new experience tests those beliefs against reality. This constant dialogue between thought and action creates a meaningful life philosophy – not just abstract ideas but principles tested and refined through living.
Learn. And do interesting things in life. Rinse and repeat.
Come to think of it, maybe that's a life philosophy.
