Blow it up

Low-level stress seems to be the worst kind of stress.

It's always with you, floating around you like a cloud.

It dampens your mood, your energy, and your presence.

And it's hard to fight.

Because it feels more of a nuisance than a real problem. But that low-level stress will ruin you if you let it.

Exercise helps. Living healthy helps. Sleeping well helps. Meditation might too.

But those are all coping mechanisms.

I'm wondering if the right course of action is more drastic, the exact opposite of the low noise in your head.

Recognize what, or who, is causing the stress.

Then blow it up.

  • Have the hard conversation.
  • Cut toxic people out of your life.
  • Pay off the bill
  • Break up.
  • Move away.
  • Sell at a loss.
  • Don't answer.
  • Fire the client.
  • Block.
  • Quit.
  • Unfollow.
  • Delete Insta.

Exercise, sleep, meditation. Those make the cloud easier to carry. They don't make it go away.

Nobody looks back and wishes they'd tolerated it a little longer.

Life is too short for that.
